Traveling to find a place to stop for dinner in Crivitz, Wisconsin my husband stopped off to check the phone GPS and we looked through the woods and saw this beauty. A dreary, light rain gave the scene a dramatic contrast.
Low water levels in Baird's Creek in early fall. In early spring and after heavy rains the creek runs fairly heavy. As the season goes on, the water level drops. I am standing in an area that is normally covered in spring.
Love catching glimpses of the black and white warblers coming through the state. There is one section of woods that I walk that I am sure to at least see a few a season. Just not always easy to catch them on camera.
Little wide angle view of the inside of the Shrine of St. Anthony of Padua. If you want some light reading material about the shrine follow the link to UWGB website I provided: http://www.uwgb.edu/biodiversity/natural-areas/arboretum/chapel.asp
